A MUST have if you are installing a deck. Saved a lot of time.
I love this deck wrench, it does what it says it'll do. And it was shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition.
Simply a must have for doing a deck. Yes you can do without it but the time and energy spent with other means is not worth it. Built rougged and will do many decks with ease. Well worth the money.
really helps straighten boards, but the instuctions were faded and not easy to read. plus missing the cotter- like pins that hold the pieces together, had to go to hardware store.
I did not realize that the design of the Cepco bowrench limited it to use on 1-1/2 lumber so when it came time to use it on some ipe decking on 3-1/2" sleepers the tool was worthless. I was able to hacksaw the stud off the joist-gripper and temporarily add a machine bolt to get the tool to work and will later weld on a new stud. I now know that Capco also sells an adjustable joist gripper but this should not be needed had the design of the basis tool been better. I would rather pay a few dollars more at the time of purchase than get a tool and find I must buy a second part and pay more shipping and take more time to start the job.
